About Me

You can call me Matt!

Sometimes it is not easy to ask for help, whether dealing with small issues that life presents or with more complicated situations that can arise. Through identifying your natural strengths and emphasizing a solution-based approach, my primary goal as your therapist is to guide you towards finding your own truth and meaning, as well as meeting you where you are at through the process of self-discovery. Whether this is to examine some thought patterns, make some changes in your life, be listened to compassionately, or to simply feel better, I want you to know that I am here to help you on your journey.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and a National Certified Counselor. My background consists of over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, parents and guardians, families, and adults in the mental health system from varying backgrounds. I have worked in specialized programs focusing on the treatment of specific disorders such as OCD and Anxiety. Additionally, I have worked in outpatient settings, private practice, schools, in-home for therapy, and even in hospitals.

I also rely on professional connections and networks that I have established over the years. I believe that the best practice is an informed practice, which involves reviewing the most up-to-date research topics and literature in the field of psychology. These sources of information assist me in providing my patients with quality therapy and informed care.

From previous encounters with clients, I would be described as dependable, understanding, professional, accountable, compassionate, and collaborative. One of the greatest strengths that I value when serving others is developing a working relationship and alliance; together, we can accomplish the goals that we set together during session.

In my free time, I enjoy being outside, especially around the beach! I also enjoy seeing family and friends, reading, watching movies, working on my house and minor gardening, exercise, golfing, and participating in bowling leagues. I also practice my faith, which is my main source of strength. I truly enjoy the idea of constantly getting better at something, and practicing your craft to the fullest.
